RCIR/EPAs in UK?

Hey all,

Looking to acquire some French and German rations (2 of each if poss, 1 for eating and 1 for keeping!) and am in the UK. No particular reason really - I'm a territorial and like going hiking in my own time so I'm military-minded and always after some convenient munch for on the hills, and as for the other two rations, well its a good idea to have some long-life food in the house and car 'just in case' as well as to collect :D

Anyone know anywhere that could hook me up with these, at a decent price and postage?
And has anyone else tried to import food products like this into the UK? Do Customs give you a hard time or not?

Looked at USMC Pro down in Portsmouth as they stock French kit, but no mention of any cuisine :(

Cheers!
BM

Alright Britman,

EDIT... I need to write faster :D Volker you beat me to it!

I don't know of any sellers in the UK for those rations, the crop up on ebay every so often but normally sell for higher prices.
For EPA's I'd go with Volker on here; his website http://www.adventure-world.de ... I've had great service from him not sure if he stocks RCIR'S though.

I've had plenty of things from Germany posted and never had a single problem, none have been touched by customs. The German DHL postage is pretty cheap compared to Royal mail.

There was a solider based at Herford in Germany who was selling EPAs via ebay, I've long since lost contact and its been well over a year so its gone from feedback.

Good luck on your search,

If I find any, I'll let ya know.

Cheers Volker for the PM and thanks everyone else for the info. Been a bit busy with work the last couple of days and will be a bit busy for the next few as well, so going to have to leave it a little while before checking out just whats in your store and ordering - although I noticed you do the Brit 'Oatmeal Blocks' from our ratpacks too - gorgeous :D !

Just in the meantime do you stock the burners with the RCIR and EPA, I know the RCIR has a little burner thingy with it and I'm guessing the German ones do too (Esbit?) as they come in a foil tray as well?

As I think my Hexi cooker would probably burn a hole in the bottom of it and it would be pretty messy to decant everything into my Jetboil  !

Cheers

the german epa dont have a cocker included. it is an extra part. the frech has packed it in as you said - but its "only" a one time cocker.
