What do you guys think of this new eBay MRE seller? Here's a link to one of their recent auctions along with a .jpg capture of the auction. He claims to have 1,000 cases in stock and they were all obtained legally. You have to love their eBay handle, too - "authenticblingbling":

i guess he means single MRE - because he wrote this "12 x 2 cases = 24 Full Meals"

His auction text says, "I currently have over 1,000 cases in stock" - so I don't think it's just single MREs. As to where he would get that many and especially so many with current dates, that's a good question.
As for the part about the heaters, I'm willing to bet he put that wording in there to avoid eBay rules against selling/shipping MREs with heaters. But I'd want to clear it with him before I bought anything from him.

How could you obtain 1000 cases of MRE's that are brand new? Won't say it for legal reasons but you all know what I'm thinking. Must have a large storage area
Hes feedback looks ok, 370 look to be mostly if not all MRe related, check dates 2010 and 2011.
If he shipped to the UK I'd consider it, concidering the price for 1 mre is about £8-10.

I saw this fellow the other day while looking around on ebay. He says he can give you a discount for bulk orders (more then one case). So, I sent him a message via ebay's message system about it. I got a reply saying to send an email with my zip code to an @yahoo address. I replied to his message with my zip code, but received a reply to send an email to the address from his first message if I want a discount. Is is just me or is this a common practice? I really just want to know if he can come close to Armygear.net's price for two cases.

Jamison, I just did the same thing - sent him a message via eBay asking about prices. He responed from eBay, which was linked to his AOL.com account and told me to send my zip code to his yahoo.com address. I can only guess that he has a disposable AOL.com address for eBay and the shipping quote requests were going to his more permanent yahoo.com account.
As for pricing, he's quoting me $70/case (including shipping) for 2008 MREs, $62 for 2007s, and $53 for 2006s. And yes, I'm using the date packed for those dates - not inspection dates eBay sellers like to quote to make their MREs sound fresher.
The thing is, he didn't tell specify any discount for "bulk" purchases - just price per case, however many you want.

Hey guys, I have bought some 2011 inspection dated MRE's from this guy (single meals) and he was great to deal with and even put in an extra meal, he said to fill the box. All meals were unopened and DID contain heaters contrary to what his auction stated. I did not want to buy cases just the certain meals he had in the auction. He did email me direct to my AOL email account and offerd me a fairly good price for 2 cases of the 2011 experiation cases.
I was pleased with the deal we had and would buy from again if I needed a bunch of rations. I did contact him with my other ebay name and he quoted me a higher price for the same that that I inquired about with my winning Oletroop auction name.
He is wise not to mention heaters or say they have none, otherwise the EBAY POLICE would knock them off.

Oletroop, what kind of pricing did he quote you both times? I'm curious how it compares to what he quoted me.
