Spanish rations for sale

Post by SpikNik » Sat Oct 18, 2008 10:53 am

Hello all.

I have a selection of Spanish rations I don't want/need.

It's a mix, the breakfast ones and the main meals, plus one of the emergency rations.

I'm not too bothered about the sale, so to be perfectly honest about it, I'm not going to go to the effort of getting them out, listing them, then taking a picture, unless there is some interest.

It's not much, just a few meals and other bits, nothing large scale.

EU sale is best for the obvious customs reasons.

If anyone is interested, post here and I'll get together some details.

:)

What menus do you have? I'm in the US, so I suppose this will cause some trouble.

Picture as requested.....

4 x lunch/dinner
1 x breakfast
4 x "biscuit bread" packs
1 x emergency ration tin
1 x what bests translates as "power shake". It's the lighter green box, back right, contains 2 "balanced high energy drink". It says on the box that each drink is 1045 Kcals. Don't ask for details, I've never opened one :)

Spanish rations have "expiry" dates rather than production dates.
The meals are dated as expiry between April 2009 and October 2010.
The biscuit breads are all October 2009
The power drink box thing is December 2008
The emergency tin is October 2008.

Due to the ridiculous way the Spanish Postal service charges, and the fact that each main meal is nearly 1KG, personally I think it is prohibitively expensive to send outside of Spain, but if anyone is interested, this weight of parcel will be 65 euros. Told you it was expensive :)

I might be able to put in another main meal for the same price, but that depends on packaging, so is not guaranteed.

fdsman, I am happy to send you anything, unfortunately though, I don't think US customs would quite as keen on the idea.

Also, larger parcels make the cost per Kilo become better, but the larger the parcel, the more interested Mr Customs man is, so you can't win really :(

Actually, I've never tried to ship rations to the USA, I always just assumed that the Customs there would be very strict and would stop everything.

Also, the good news is that German EPA showed me a website for a courier that operates in various EU countries, and is MUCH cheaper :)
