I got around 42 of MRE heaters right now and I really have no use of it since I only got 8 MREs left and I eat MREs at home with a stove. I got 3 of them in 12-packs, sealed and 8 of them individually. I'm not sure if I have to list price here(if I do, I'm sorry, I will add price if pricing is required at the Buy/Sell/Trade section). Since I just recently joined and barely have any post, I seem kind of suspicious seller, I have a ebay account http://myworld.ebay.com/stg.gump , check my validity there. I'm also willing to do trades(MREs, foreign MRE, basically any kind of food). PM me for any question and pricing or IM me on MSN at Michael_1383@yahoo.com, AIM SN FearSC549.

It's these http://www.mreinfo.com/us/mre/frh.html and the year on the FRH is 1992 for the 12-packs and 1992 for the individual ones. I tested the individual ones before, they work fine, heats up without a problem.

I've got a couple of hundred of the things sitting around myself so I'll have to pass. Have you tried eBay?

I tried buying a bunch of FRH's from a lady on EBAY. It seemed like a good deal. In all accounts it was a great deal. For a few bucks I would get a bunch of FRH's. I won the auction. In the last second E-Bay squashed it. The reason was not given. The seller even claimed she sent them to me and would not refund my money even after I indicated to her that EBay canceled the auction eventhough the auction had completed and I sent her the money. I complained to PayPal. They started an investigation. In the process the seller started harassing me wanting to know why, this and that. In the end I got my money back because she had no defense. But she made me wait a month until the refund was processed automatically. Items never received.

Sometimes eBay will do that - especially if you don't specify that you'll only ship via ground. Or it could be that some asshat eBay browser took it upon him/herself to report your auction to eBay because they thought FRHs shouldn't be sold.

Think I have read that E-bay won't allow anything with those heaters to be sold. Hazard or something. One seller last night said he had taken them all out to follow E-bay guidelines. Of course he was still selling "government property" which E-bay didn't seem to have an issue with.

On a couple of occasions, eBay has been specifically requested to stop all MRE auctions for that reason. However, the people requesting the halt to those auctions were unable to show eBay a law that would forbid their sale. We've covered the whole "MREs are illegal to sell issue" in a few other threads - here's one of them:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1007&p=7792

The short of it is:

1. MREs are now being distributed (given away) to civilians in disaster situations and it's difficult if not impossible to limit what the recipients can do with these.
2. Some MREs are actually being surplussed and sold with the government's approval.

Even though cases say "Government Property, *Commercial* Resale Prohibited", that only applies to MREs that have not been legitimately obtained and/or surplussed. This blurs the line between what can be legally sold and what cannot. Fortunately for those worried about theft of government property, the current system of marking and tracking MREs makes it pretty easy for them to tell which MREs on eBay were obtained legitimately and which ones "fell off a truck".

Here's a link to the first report from a GAO investigation into MRE sales on eBay:
