"Jimmy Dean" food packets
"Jimmy Dean" food packets
Hey everyone,
What I have for your consideration today is a different brand of civilian food packets that I aquired last week. I'm sure most of you know the alternative MRE food packets called "Jimmy Dean's" but that is a loose term for these, what I have are the lunch packets that they serve in some of the smaller or mobile food trailers or dining facilities at most DoD installations. I found out that a certain dining facility was throwing these out for no reason and I thought it might be a good idea to put them up here and see if anybody had any interest.
They come with a lot of civilian foods that you can find in any supermarket and they do taste very good. Some packets have Peanut butter and jelly packets, some have seafood salad mix, and others have vienna susauges in them for sandwiches. Everything is vacuum packed so everything is safe. So if anybody has any questions or wants one or two please PM me, thanks.

Those look like the lunch and breakfast packs that we gave out to the campers at summer camp.
Although our version didn't have as much food in them as the ones pictured.
Are these Jimmy Dean packs available to purchase somewhere???

Cpl Ray Person: If Saddam spent his money on the p*ssy infrastructure of Iraq, instead of his g@y @ss Republican Guard we wouldn't have this war!
While you should be able to assemble them yourself, there are a number of vendors that assemble them for various purposes, including military applications. Though the most common usage is usually for relief meal situations and as shelf-stable food supplies for the seniors MealsOnWheels programs. The quantity of food will vary depending upon it's intended usage. The most affordable ones would probably be the ones for the MOW programs, but they are intended for us old folks who don't eat as much as we did when we were young (well ... maybe I'm an exception
).
