Anyone in Mississippi?

Post by kman » Fri Mar 21, 2008 2:35 pm

Here's a deal if you live anywhere near Canton, Mississippi - 20 cases of 2005 MREs for $300 - local pickup only:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0230721982

I don't know about the "must pay first with PayPal". I think I'd rather just bring cash and pay after making sure it's all legit. But at $15 for 2005 MREs, I'd buy them!

I think madcapmagician is from MS. If someone wants to see if he wants to front a "group buy" on these, you can always ask. I'm not trying to volunteer him - I'm just saying he might be closer to the seller than anyone else.

Anybody got an update on this deal? Was curious to find out what had developed?

It's still listed with no bids so far. It ends in 17 hours.

Two questions have been asked and answered, they are:

Q: How where these stored? Thanks
A: Thank you for your question- They were and are stored in a climate controlled room in my residence- I and my children have eaten some of the oldest ones as recent as last weekend on a fishing trip- These cases have neven been opened. - The dates are posted so there is no question of inspection period- As in any mres-- they should all still be in quality condition but, this is a no return or refund sale. I cannot know of the absolute internal condition of unopened packages. but as standard mre shelf life, there should be no issues The only reason i am selling them is -- both of my sons have gone back off to colleges far away and there is no way for me to eat all of these things- Again, thank you for your interest roadsideshopper

Q: Are you sure youre not willing to ship truck freight on a pallet ? I am interested but cant pick it up.
A: I APPRECIATE YOUR INTEREST, BUT IT IS PICK UP ONLY SORRY THANK YOU

Maybe we should post something on craigslist and see if anyone there is willing to pick it up for us and redistribute them for a small fee.
