This auction was up the other day and then removed and relisted.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266604085967

On the relist I guess seller opened a ration and removed the cigarettes and now you just get the box. Have seen others doing it as well citing an eBay policy on tobacco. The way I read it was:

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/proh ... cy?id=4273

"The following are exceptions that can be listed:

Collectible/vintage packages"

Doesn't say full or empty. I don't see how eBay would have a policy to make you open a vintage item to remove them. It's not like minors are buying these at $500 a ration to get four old cigarettes. So what's the problem? I've seen others mention in their auction it's a sealed vintage unit and not mention cigarettes. Really no need to I guess. Oh well - crazy if you ask me.

Nowhere in the description do I see either of those exception words listed. Ebay has so many listings that they almost certainly have an automated check in place. If I had to guess, i'd say it got flagged, someone didnt see the exception, and it was taken down.

He may just have to put "vintage" in the description. Interested to hear from someone here who sells rations on ebay.
