Tempted to buy this WW2 Coffee...
Re: Tempted to buy this WW2 Coffee...
I have inquired about obtaining a whole case from him. Apparently these were discovered by him in an old grocery warehouse in Italy. He indicated to me that if you dealt with him out side of ebay he could do 50 bucks for individual cans. The only thing that gives me pause is the cost of shipping, otherwise totally worth it.

if it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true; especially if a seller wants to do an off-Ebay sale where you are no longer protected as a buyer. My gut feeling is that these are repros that have been artificially aged. i could be wrong, but that's what it feels like to me.
WW2 Coffee...
They are undoubtedly authentic, I'm just amazed anyone would pay that kind of price. Cool, though not that cool. To each his own, I guess.

I find it difficult to believe that someone would go through that much time, money and effort to make "fake" ones only to sell a small handful in the grand scheme of things. Hardly worth it if you ask me.
