Item Description: (Contains ONE Decal Sheet and ONE set of instructions, tin and paint not included.)

What Price Glory has produced some excellent reproductions, and without Jerry’s efforts the reenactment community at large would not have the broad spectrum of niche rare reproduction items that we do. The M1906 Armour and Company Emergency Ration Tin (link below) recently released is yet another example of a sorely needed item. There are some improvements which can be made to it though, those being a two-tone color scheme with a brighter yellow body as seen on originals, a primed interior to prevent rusting, and more accurate scaled markings.

I have made a limited run (50) of industrial strength decals as seen in the photos which when applied to the tin body will bring the overall appearance much more in line with original examples by fixing the markings and two-tone color scheme. The decals are the type used in automotive, outdoor sign, and machine applications, and are professionally printed. They are durable and when applied with water can be laid over a surface for a smooth finish. The decal is printed in a brighter more accurate yellow with a matte/ eggshell finish mimicking the flatter finish of the originals and matching the existing WPG paint luster. I recommend painting the tin in Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel spray paint, which produced a high gloss finish to the surface that improves the decals adhesion. The center seam and end caps should be masked off before spraying though as those parts should not be finished in gloss. This is not required though, as I have applied a decal directly to a stock WPG tin with great adhesion results as well.
These photos are of production version decal sheets affixed to a WPG Emergency Ration tin. While the originals were painted on, the decals are thin and mimic the appearance of painted/ lithographed markings quite well (see photo comparing a painted tin vs a tin affixed with a decal.

As always, a link to the WPG tin is included here: https://whatpriceglory.com/products/848 ... cy-ration/
