So I'm hoping to get some skinning in around camp hale and what I really want to do is take some rations up with me and maybe film a bit of me talking about some of the history and info of camp hale as well as bring out some rations that are period correct and open them up in an area that would have most likely used them back in the day during training in the mountains and huts.

I would LOVE to get my hands on some authentic complete k or m rations or something in the time frame but who knows how usable those will be. I wouldn't mind really anything from a complete ration to just some items to bring up with me. I'll be taking an ascend up to a general area where the jackal hut is. It's basically right above camp hale.

I don't have super deep pockets so I can't dump a ton of money into this so I may have to buy bits and pieces over time but I would love to get enough to go up and make the video this winter. Snow pack in that area isn't bad right now so I'm also thinking of bringing up an RCW and MCW for the time being.

Anything helps even if it's re-pro. I've contacted one guy about a set of repro k rations but I'm not sure how long that'll take to hear back and get the items.

Not even sure if these are still around BUT if you have an M Ration regardless of complete or not please let me know.

Yup I sent them an email before Christmas just waiting to hear back from.

My recommendation is to stay away from Todd Hogan. My belief is that he takes shortcuts when producing rations and his communication skills are lacking. He used to do a good job up until about 5 years ago. When I purchased a set of late war K Rations from him, he wrapped the outside with wrapping paper, not the traditional cardboard the real ones used. After that, I ordered a reproduction frontline German WWII ration from him and based on my research, it was not historically accurate and the contents were stale, like it had been sitting around for years. If you want a historically accurate reproduction of a German WWII ration, I believe Veshmeshok does a far better job. http://veshmeshok.store/whrs002

I'm going to Camp Hale where the 10th Mountain first started. I do not plan on bringing German rations to the area lol. I will look into these German ones for home though, thank you.

It does seem like Mr Hogan has no communication, I have yet to hear back from him.
