they definitely had FD strawberries, I've had them before.
most wanted: RCIR, MCI/B units, IMPs, anything old, and a packet or two of RAFCO soup. PM if you've got these, or anything else to sell that isn't too expensive.

From what I seen the feeze dried strawberries cake in later brown bags 1995-1996 tan bags. I think they came in tan bag tuna with noodles 1996 dop. I might have to open one to check.

NEVER, Have I found FD strawberries that weren't bad. For some reason they are always soft. Every other FD fruit has been good.

If ya find one Norge, would love to see them.🙂

I have not come upon the strawberries yet either, but I do have a handful of browns here, but not sure what's inside

While my memory isn't infallible it seems to me there were FD strawberries in the earliest MRE iterations, about the same time frame as the FD pork pattie and Ham & Chicken Loaf.

There was some strangeness and jiggery pokery going on in those days, menu items didn't always tally up with what they were purported to contain. As I recall the Strawberries were quite good, but were a short lived item. Peaches, Pears, and Fruit Cocktail were far more common. And they did seem to have some problems with excess moisture, in all of them.

I've got a few 80s MRES with "FD Fruit" listed in them. Would it specifically call out Strawberries, are they all just random freeze dried fruit, or that something completely different?
