Usually we here at KommandoStore sell military surplus equipment and clothing, but recently we came across a large number of Japanese Commercial MRE's and figured all you here at the forum would like to know they are available, given how hard these are to come by.

A little bit about the product:
These are the commercial clones of the Japanese Self-Defense Force’s (SDF) Type II Battle Rations. Difficult to obtain outside of Japan, these MREs include a hearty 310g portion of rice and a retort pouch packed with one of five courses of compact cuisine. The SDF’s Type II MRE was first issued in 1990 and saw a transition from cans to boil-ready “pack-meshi” bags, greatly reducing cumbersome weight and cooking time, and better preserving the renowned flavor of the rations.
Q: What's the difference between the commercial variant for sale here and the "real deal?"
A: Issued Japanese Military MREs are packaged in an all green case. Currently Japan keeps all companies who make military designated items a secret and you'll almost never find them in the wild. These are packaged in bright camo colors to set them apart and are made for resale. Internally however, they are 1:1 of the military versions.
Q: What variants are available?
A: Rafte-don Bowl (Braised Pork Belly over Rice), Pork Curry, Salt Luncheon Meat, Fire Yakitori-don, and Jumbo Sausage Curry.
