I would totally do that if we made an offer that was reasonable and cost per person wasn't nuts. I say that loosely we are talking about buy 75+ year old chocolate here so we are all a bit nuts! I'd be more willing to give the one that's already in the US a shot since It shows the chocolate that looks like it is in decent condition. Not even very bloomed by looks of it! Would be quite a expensive endeavor. Looks like there is eight pieces. Is there one disc of chocolate or two? Thinking one. If we can get a few people to commit... i'd be more than happy to get this out to the guys that pool the money together.
I just sent the US based 1944 guy a message about lowest price he'd take, how many disks, any more info etc...
Sounds like the one from faf18 was ground dug by a relic hunter. Not high hopes for the contents being decent there.

Yeah, def only one disk. 300 seems reasonable. Hopefully they havent thrown a new choc disk in an old tin.

Here's some better pictures. This is interesting! It's in a cardboard container...! Perhaps because it was late war production with metal scarcity? Very interesting!
It being in a cardboard container is a bit of a let down. What do you guys think?
