Where To Get MREs in Scotland?

Post by bodanza_rama » Fri Apr 05, 2019 9:31 am

Hi. I'll be in Scotland in September and October. Any advice on where to get MREs? Are there military surplus stores that might have them, like in the States? I also thought I could buy from a UK seller and have it sent to where I'm staying.

Thanks

Best using eBay or finding someone on the forum. not very common to see many army surplus stores around the UK anymore, been gradually disappearing over the years. If you do find one then it's not likely that you will find any selling rations - Government property and stuff like that....

Very easy to get them on UK eBay - easy to get quick delivery too

The company that produce the military rations do also sell them directly to the public, all the same products just packed up different and different menus but all exactly the same stuff.

only thing is they charge about double what you can get the real army issue ones for off eBay. evaq8 sell them for about £25 each with shipping but you can get them on ebay for £15

I have shit loads of them but I live over 400 miles away from Scotland and you would probably get a better deal from eBay. I would have a good look. send a few messages and find someone who can offer next day delivery, The UK is not a big country and our Royal Mail service can deliver a package anywhere in the UK on a next day delivery before 9 am with a maximum weight of 2KG or before 1 pm with a maximum weight of 20KG.

This is great info. Thank you! I will definitely check ebay and it's good to know about mail service in the UK.
