MRE Symposium and Meetup

Guys, this is really coming together! This is fan-awesome-tastic! Let's get the word out to the other members about the meet-up. This is really exciting!

For the auction, I will be donating a UGR-E. One of the golden gems for MRE Enthusiats.

So far we have commitments on well over $1000 worth of items to be auctioned off at the meet-up with 100% of the proceeds going to the ration museum. We all love military rations and Ruleryak has stepped up to bring us a museum full of a ton of items that from rare to common. And he is doing it for the military ration community. Let's all jump in and show our support.

We will be starting a thread soon for the auction. We will be posting pics of the items and the item number so you can start dreaming of owning some of these items now.

I got an Accessory Packet Can from 1951 down for the auction (worth an easy 1-200) - and will be mustering a few other things up from now & until it happens.

Bob, I gotcha on doing a video on all of this - will be helping Ruleryak with his kickstarter on fundraising and getting it out there on my channel will certainly give this whole thing more notice.

Brother, believe me it is my pleasure. The promoter of the expo is a great friend of mine and I am one of the keynote speakers for the preparedness side. Most speakers don't like to teach classes on Sunday morning because the crowd are thin until after 12. So she had the classroom scheduled empty. Just seemed like a good opportunity for the meetup since the sound system will already be in place.

When I was at this expo in February, I wasn't into the international rations yet. It was two weeks later that I was introduced to the Russian rations. But I recall a seller there on the gun show side that had about 9 different rations. I asked them what they were and when he told me they were like MREs but from different countries I remember thinking "why would anyone want those". Lol. Now I know why. But I did find out he was going to be there in October. So I plan to reach out to him and let him know a bunch of us are coming.

Of course, I will be there for setup on Friday so I will get first crack at them. Lol. But I'm not a greedy person, will make sure there are plenty for everyone.

Ok guys! This should be fun! During the meetup in October we are going to have a few door prizes. So far, I have accumulated three items specifically for door prizes.

The first is a Norwegian Cold Weather ration by Drytech.

The second is an Emergency Food Solutions 48 hour ration kit. This is food, water, fire, and hygiene for 1 person for 2 days. Over 7000 calories!

The third is an accessory kit from a Vietnam Era C Ration. And yes, before you ask, it has the cigarettes.

What does it cost to have a chance at the door prizes you ask? Absolutely zero! All you have to do is be there!

We are working hard to make this a MOST memorable event for our first ever MRE Meetup and Symposium.
