Hey...back to the guy who has that Italian rationand German rationon eBay.....

He also had two Cinpac MREs from the early 1990's with two separate FRHs on a listing.

I wrote to tell him the age of the meals. By the time he wrote back to me, eBay had pulled the listing, citing "hazardous materials". Since he lives near me, he offered to meet me and give me the lot for five bucks, so I took them.

Kevin is a great guy and was just going to toss his old rations until he figured someone might want them. He was part of a NATO detachment, or as he calls it, "sort of a United Nations" representation of soldiers in Europe. That's how he got the various rations. He's going to visit this website for more info. I mentioned the forum, so who knows? He might end up putting his two cents in here, too!

Now, about the Italian one. He said that one is THE BEST. Three meals, plus a stove, plus a shot of whiskey, all in one package. He said he liked the German ones, too. As for the old MREs, he said that they probably hadn't resupplied in quite awhile or hadn't rotated their stock. He got those in 2000, so they were already a few years old.

So, there you are. CaptBob is out in the field spreading the good word about mreinfo.com

That Italian ration has gone through the roof!!! Last I checked it was over $41. That's a bit rich for my blood. And, that "oletroop" is really cramping my style. He is high bidder on a couple of auctions that I was interested in. He must have a bigger allowance than I do to play with.

I found an interesting item on eBay.ca. It even includes kimchee, "korean pickles". Take a look.

I think I'll be passing on this one.

Heh heh...a Japanese ration with lots of Chinese and Korean food in it. Oh well, I guess it's not any more strange than an American MRE with Mexican food.

Hello All,
I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now. Didn't really have anything to say but when I saw Captbob's experience with Hiram I laughed out loud. You see, I had the distinct honor of meeting him in person. I purchased a case of mre's from them back in november. They live about 1.5 hours north of me and I was going to be working in the area that week, so I decided to save some money and pick them up. My experience was a bit better than Captbob's. Hiram met me and was actually on time. He was nice enough, and delivered to me a case of 9/08 mre's. They even have the beverage bag. Hiram isn't the husband, though. He's the son!

I know that my retelling of the story has the sound of someone who felt ignored . . . because it's true.

Under different circumstances, I'm sure it would've gone smoothly.

And yes, Hiram is the son. My mistake. There's Ruthie (the grandmother), then Donna (with whom I finally had to call)...and Hiram ...or Hiram, Jr. I don't know.

Still bummed that he put negative feedback on my eBay ID.

WOW!

A case of HDRs just sold on eBay for $96.55

I know each pouch has a full day's ration, but that's just nuts.

Hey, ya gotta love lentils, beans, and barley.

I'm glad I paid less than half of that for my case!

Well, you know why it got a lot of bidding? Like I always say, if you want more bidders and higher bids, give them LOTS of info and LOTS of pictures. I bought an excellent (but under-promoted) leather jacket on eBay for $30. Didn't fit right so I took lots of pix, looked up the mfgr and supplied info... more than tripled my money when it sold.

With coins it sometimes seems to be the opposite

here is my advice to get the best prices on Ebay if your selling coins

First charge 6.99 for shipping then send coin in #10 envelope

Call coins moster toning even though there is only a speck of toning

For the love of god man shake the camera when taking pictures !!!!!!
Ebayers love fuzzy photos where all you can tell is you are buying something round

say all items are from estate sells and you know nothing about coins

if selling wheat cents call them unserached even if only selling one

Hype your coins and say all your certified coins are undergraded

Finally use L@@K in title
