may I ask how much you were ordering at a time to get caught up with Customs? I've never ordered from MRE Mountain but it seems like I've had better luck ordering smaller quantities at a time, like one or two, so I have this theory that larger shipments are inspected more often or thoroughly.. which might be stating the obvious.mikeoverhere wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 7:04 amI purchased rations from them on several occasions until I had to stick to US source only after getting caught importing and found that they shipped from a foreign country while only appearing to be domestic so I had to stop or risk legal prosecution. Also, several rations I purchased did not match the menu #'s they posted (British ORP Rations) but they were completely unresponsive to communication about much less any kind of refund or return so you are stuck with whatever you get or do not get. Other than that, a good source for a variety of rations if you are willing to pay the prices and take those two risks.

I had only ordered a couple rations from a source who I suspect happened to be under investigation which led to me as a customer. It was an eBay purchase. I believe much depends on the customs agent that actually processes your shipment. Some know to stop MRE's, others don't. As I waited for an interview with a USDA agent, I told them about two more rations that were incoming, both Russian. One had been intercepted and some of the contents removed to which the agent removed one more item (the condensed milk) and then took all the meat products from the other untouched ration.needmorechicken wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 10:40 ammay I ask how much you were ordering at a time to get caught up with Customs?
