Also, I have to say, while I do very much like Russian rations, why are there so many different variants? Just off the top of my head, there's:

Russian Army IRP 'Star' pack
Vegetarian MVD MRE (IRP)
Russian Mountain Ration / FSB
Russian Mountain Ration / Special Forces
Winter Ration 'white flecked' pack
Russian Army IRP - MG MRE
Russian IRP-BS Recon Forces Lightweight 24 hour
Russian IRP 'Sturm'
Russian IRP-P single meal
Russian Prison Guard 24 hour ration
Russian MRE 'EMERCON' Rescue Ration
Russian IRP Officer's Ration
Russian IRP Combat Increased 'Mud' pack

Probably half of those aren't genuine military rations, just civilian ones. You'd have to ask someone knowledgeable on russian rations, like rufriend or prado to really find out which ones are real rations

It's hard to know. I've only ever seen pictures of Russian troops (army mostly) consuming the 'Star' ones or the 98% identical ones in the camo overpacks (probably the 'Mountain' rations). But seriously, if someone in an online / Ebay tomorrow started advertising a "Special Russian RARE Naval Dockside Janitorial Staff Alternate 'B Shift' Rations", would you really be surprised?

Oh yeh, I'm pretty sure this ration and all the other ones he sells are real. But some of the ones you see on eBay and stuff are fake.

Yes, I don't sell commercial rations. Only those that are used in the army and in law enforcement agencies (in total, I sell three types of MRE-mountain, for internal troops and combined arms army)

I served in the Russian army myself. We had army rations. But we were not given them, they were stored in warehouses
