MREs wanted.

Post by SpikNik » Fri Sep 28, 2007 6:26 pm

Hello.

I haven't had much to say since joining the forum, mainly because my total MRE ownership has been a few 10 year old MREs and a box of entrees and snacks sent from the USA. I've spent 2 weeks sending emails to USA ebay sellers asking the same old question, with the same old answer unfortunately. Now I'm left with 1 ranger bar, 2 giant cookies, 4 entrees and some assorted accessories

If there are any EU members (I'm guessing from Germany as they seem to have good access to MREs) who can supply and sell at a reasonable price, I'm ready to pay. I'm not fussy about menus, full cases, individual MREs, just that they're within first inspection.

PM me if you have anything to offer and we can talk business.

Thank you.

BTW, if any forum members are currently, or have ever been, members of the US military, and still hold a position of authority, please open a base near me, it's not fair, everyone else has one. :)

I was, but not anymore :D
I have been contacted with MRE offers, so hopefully I will soon have some.
The internet certainly makes the world a smaller place. A British guy, in Spain, buying American rations, from Germany.

Why don´t you buy them at your own?!
MRE´s are available all over ebay Germany.
You will get a whole case (2002, 2003) for just €50 or a little bit more there.

Newer cases (2006, 2007) are more expanisve, they start at €65 up to...
But a MRE´s case is almost "good for ever"
Add the postage (DHL Ger to Spain => €32) if they send outside Ger and it´s yours. Why do you buy from a guy that buy from a guy that ...

Or ask jubifahrer from here. He is a German, sales MRE´s for a very good price (approx. €40 a case) and ship via Hermes to all over the world. Cheaper than DHL...

I tried ebay.de, in fact my first MREs were from there. The problem is that when I email to ask about shipping, no ebay sellers will send to Spain. Also, the few MREs I did get from one ebay.de seller were 1997/1998.

That's why I asked on the forum, the members here know what they're doing and know what they're talking about, and they send to Spain.

I have bought 2 quite new cases from a forum member yesterday, and when I have eaten them I'll look around again. It's a gradual process, learning the best places, best shipping options. etc.
