Brown Bag MREs

Post by Xan_Man85 » Sat Apr 25, 2020 6:34 pm

I have several cases worth of old brown bag MREs that date from 1989 through 1992. They've been stored in my basement for the last few years, but I don't know how they were stored before I got them. That being said, I make no guarantees that they are edible. A couple of the cases are full, but most are just partial. I would rather sell them as a random pick so I don't have to look through every case for a specific menu. I'll pick a random one from a specific year of your choice. I have 1989, 1990, and 1992. Price is $10 each plus shipping. I'll add a random tan bag MRE from 1998 for an extra $5.

People usually like to know what they are going to get when they pay money for something. When people say random pick, ten out of ten times they are looking to offload shite

Not true in the least... I have sold about 20 MREs from this lot, and I haven't kept a single one for myself. I have all the brown bags I'll ever need and more. Random pick means random pick. I reach into the box, grab an MRE and package it up to ship out. There's not really any one menu in these boxes that rarer than another, so there's really no reason to cherry pick. There are several people who have bought from these cases and were happy with what they got. I'll take requests for specific menus, but it will take me a lot longer to get back to you since I have about a dozen cases of these.

At this time I'm only shipping within the US. I've had a few problems shipping these overseas within the last year, and I would rather not take the chance.

Random pick just means that he is not wanting to sift through all these to find a certain menu... it does not mean he is trying to offload. Maybe on ebay, that statement is true, but not typically on this board.

I have around 300 modern MRE, i dont sell, but if I did, i would also say random pick. I would do a fast check to hopefully not give two of the same menu, but its too much to go through, if you don't have the time to find a certain item.
