Lol I used to get cases of 95 era MRE’s when we did various favors for units doing AT in mid 90’s.
I’m half tempted to buy a case for old times sake.
But at same time I think I’m half nuts for doing so.

Trust me you will not be sorry for buying and eating MREs that old. I was a little worried also about getting something that old from Dudeman but was shocked how well they held up. I have had 1 and 2 year old ones I have pulled from the ones I sell that have not held up that good.

They are a true find and treat...

Trust me, my post was in no way meant to be taken as to the validity or quality of the sellers stock.
It was meant more as me at 53 buying and eating 25 year old rations for what reason lol. I ate cases of them back when they were new. I still enjoy MRE’s and MCW’s when fishing or camping. And occasionally I’ll bring one to work or eat one sitting around outside on a Sunday for lunch.
It’s a cool kind of hobby I’ve always been into.
I’ll leave the delving into experimentation of old stock to Steve and you younger folks. Lol

This sounds awesome! I'll probably pick up some singles from ebay, any recommendations on must try menus from this era?

Corned Beef Hash
From Foreign MRE.com I love the Beef Enchiladas. Theirs are good to eat as they also originated from Dudeman253

For nostalgia sake:
Smoky Franks (aka "4 Fingers of Death")
Vomelet if you really want to know why we call it that

My personal favorite is the Pork Chow Mein which they stopped offering long ago. The chocolate covered cookie was always a highly prized component, and I always really enjoy the freeze dried (FD) fruit. I also like the Mexican Rice if you can get that component having been stored well enough not to taste hinky. I miss the bean burrito and one day I'll hope to come across the mythical "Beefsteak"

If you look at the MRE Menu section of this website, you can see what is packed with each of the menu's from that period. There can be substitutions from time to time though.

dudeman, I'm sorry for getting here late. Are any of these still available? How much are they each?
