The MCIs i have are packed in 1978 and are still in good shape, i ate myself one not long ago and am still standing (not to say that i advise to eat 40 year old canned food, what i did was stupid as hell).
They are in great condition mostly, except the canned fruits being bloated and cheese spread leaking in one of them, but the main cans and B-units inside are looking perfectly fine.
