In search of Coffee instant type 1

Hello everyone. I am new to the forums here but I am on a search for coffee instant type 1. Production year doesn't matter to me. I've just had a hard time sourcing some to try. I've managed to have type 2 but I want to experience type 1. If anyone would have instant type 1 feel free to comment and we can work something out. I'm on the eastern side of the United States.

I feel you. I also have not had the pleasure of a type 1.
It is not in my collection of "coffee instants of the world".

Both you guys give me a PM and provide me your address I'll hook you both up with a Type 1 and a couple P-38's.

What is the difference between the two types?

Others will be able to state it better than I can but the simple version comes down to the blend of coffee. But coffee instant type 1 is for sure the favorite for those who have access too it. Both though I believe are spray dried coffee instead of freeze dried.

I wonder why would they choose to make two types of coffee instead of coffee and something else... Getting coffee for production from 2 diferent sources maybe?

It comes down to the technology and methods of the time. All the types of instant coffee are made at different times. So the methods of production evolved including the recipe for the mix/blend!
