Suspiciously low MRE case prices

Post by lnschnei » Mon Nov 13, 2017 12:37 am

Ive been seeing these pop up on Ebay lately. Strangely low priced MRE cases being sold from China from people with 0 feedback. For example:

https://m.ebay.com/itm/Two-Meal-Ready-T ... SwPDBaCGpg

Whats the angle here ? Ebay purchases are covered if fraudulent, so what is the seller trying to gain ? I dont get it.

Anybody know about anything like this?

The angle is it's a scam. They are using recycled pictures, and the same seller is creating numerous accounts with zero feedback. I don't know exactly how they are doing it but the angle likely has to do with the delivery time. So after the delivery date has passed and you realize that the item never came, it will be too late to dispute in Paypal or etc. Even if you open a case.

That's just my guess. I don't need to know exactly how it works to know it's a scam.

My 1st Russian Ration purchase went down EXACTLY as Casey described...Suspiciously cheap Ration from zero feedback seller....Ration never arrived and no recourse...This was not my first rip by a zero feedback seller. I know everyone starts at zero, but I will NEVER buy from a zero feedback seller ever again.
it is what it is....

Sage advice. However, I am surprised Ebay did not cover your purchase...
