Charity Auction to Benefit Hurricane Harvey victims through the Rebuild Texas Fund

Post by wats6831 » Fri Sep 01, 2017 3:54 pm

I'm donating a set of rare MREs from my collection to auction for charity with 100% of the proceeds going to the Rebuild Texas Fund

Thank you to fellow forum member and YouTuber Delicious for getting me this amazing set of Polish Fire Brigade Rations!

The OneStar Foundation is partnering with the Dell Foundation to create the Rebuild Texas Fund in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Let's give!

Please share across your social media accounts! Let's bid this up as high as possible!

Wow this is a great thing you're doing here. The relief effort I have seen all across Texas is astonishing, and to see people from all over the country contributing what they can is just crazy.
Thank for this, and you bet I'll be trying to win that auction :D

What a great gesture! Thank you wats (and also thank you Delicious) for making this happen. I hope the response will be very generous. It's a bit out of my price range in general, but seeing as how it's for a good cause...

I figure $33 a each for an MRE set like this is more than fair. However no one has bid on it yet. Pretty disheartening really.

Did you see the second set that someone posted? That won't help much either...

I did. I doubt he even realizes it but yeah.....I'm pretty shocked no one will even bid on it. May have to figure something else out.

I was definitely considering putting a bid in, but the finances just didn't work out. And, if I DID win it I would have felt kind of bad being the only bidder and getting it for the opening bid. A shame that it didn't inspire a bit of a bidding war.

Same here brother, I've been working over time to be able to afford it. Looks like I'm too late. :(
Killed by rancid pound-cake. I know that will be on my tomb stone.
