Banded Case of 2004 MRE's *SOLD*

Post by fishontheline » Mon Aug 01, 2016 2:11 pm

Hey guys, first time poster here - figured this would be the right place for this kind of thing.

Was at an estate auction a few weeks ago and purchased a banded case of 2004 MRE's - if anyone is interested I'd like to pass them along to someone that could do something with them at the cost of shipping and maybe a little beer money

There's another half (give or take) case of 2004 meals as well.

Enjoying the youtube videos by many members of this forum, as well as the reviews. Thanks for all you guys do!

If there's any interest I'll go ahead and post a few pics.

A picture of that little, square shaped red sticker would be nice

Outch...

The inner circle suppose to be as red as the sticker. It´s dark brown, more dark than the reference circle
They were stored way too long in a too warm place.

Yes sir, I would doubt these are very good for eating.

If I don't receive any interest I'll probably just crack them open and give them a quick photo shoot before disposing of the contents. I'm not quite brave enough to delve into these bad boys.

Crack em open!

Im sure there are some goodies in there that are tough to find, and the bits are cheaper to ship than the case.

as in id prolly be interested in a flat rate of some of the meals and snacks etc to see how they are

If you do dispose (which I won't recommend doing, somebody here will love to have it regardless of "freshness" sticker), check each MRE and salvage what you deem fresh and valuable. Spoons, accessory packets, flameless ration heaters, condiments, powder drink mixes, and toilet paper will still be good. I reckon some entrees will be too if you are brave enough to check
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

Welcome to the group...PM sent in regards to the meals...they were actually manufactured in 2001, so they're 15 yrs old and way outside their life expectancy.
it is what it is....

I bought this case of meals and cracked it open...Am preparing the 1st review and will post soon. As expected, the usual dairy items are no good but the 1st entree I sampled was surprisingly good. The orange storage sticker was turned...but maybe on any case this old, the storage tags will have turned idk...stay tuned
it is what it is....
