Hungarian MRE
Re: Hungarian MRE
I would like to purchase 4 to 6m shipped in 2 or 3 separate packages

Re: Hungarian MRE
If there are enough to go around I would love to be in for two, for the group of us in the States it might be smart if we did just have shipped to someone as a bundle then broken down and shipped again, it might save on the shipping and should save Hungarian on sending a ton of packages out
Re: Hungarian MRE
I know I'm late to this post
but I would be interested also....

it is what it is....

I'd be interested also!
Re: Hungarian MRE
I would like to chime in for 2. or more, depending on you filling others requests first.
As you can see there is a LOT of interest.
Perhaps one Point of contact in the US could take delivery from Hungary to reduce shipping costs. Assuming some one does not mind the extra work re shipping to US participants,

Re: Hungarian MRE
Hello Everyone.
I was able to get some Hungarian MRE-s They arrived today, and I can send them right away.
If anyone is interested please e-mail me: reiter.arnold@gmail.com
I have 7 rations left.
I have:
2pcs H/1: Beef shank stew
2pcs H/3: Cabbage casserole
1pcs H/4: Pickled Bean goose meat
1pcs H/6: Stellar stew
1pcs H/7: Turkey meat with creamed peas
All of them expire sometime in august 2016, but they were stored in military storages so they wont go bad any time soon.
They all have two main meals: one canned food that is what I wrote above and one with the FRH I dont know what that one is. Also all of them have:
meat pate; sausage pate; instant soup; coffe drink; flat bread; Tea powder; dried fruits; fruit sugar candy; candy; gum; sugar; spices; salt; napkin; matches; folding stove; stove fuel.
Price is 28 USD for each.
Please contact me for shipping prices.

Re: Hungarian MRE
*** UPDATE 2 ***
OK guys, I am the worst salesman on the world, but I hope the waiting was worth it.
First of all: I have them! My contact got back to me and the delivery guy dropped the rations today at my door. My girlfriend and I will go hiking this weekend with one of the rations, so if everything goes fine I will post a review on Sunday. And no ... I will not sell my sexy leopard blanket.
Here are the new requests:
- Steve1988: 2
- Poorman1: 2
- TechManDan: 3-4
- BlackDogBob: ?
- Rabidwolf: 2
- Kwiklot: 2
- Name_not_found: 2 (with some local items)
- Ancienttyrael: 2
- Hamada: 2
- Asger: ?
- Kraichgau: ?
- Delicious: 2
- Parafireboy: 1
- T Bone: 4-6
- Sourwes: ?
- MAbreuRN: ?
- Raille: 2
- Boogerman: 2
- jim_w333: 1-2
- onepamop: ???
That is an insane amount of rations and my contact only has 22 rations left. But there is a good new regarding this. Seems like there is a boom of Hungarian rations currently in the country, as I found some other rations on some trading websites too. Around the same price as the current ones (10 USD).
There was a question about the payment. I prefer PayPal.
There was a suggestion to send out the rations in a bundle to the US. I checked and it would be much cheaper. I can do that, I am willing to do that and hopefully customs will not check the box(es). I think the best option would be to send it to someone who will attend the symposium in October, just to save costs. Just a thought...
Do not get me wrong guys and maybe I lack the words to describe what I want to tell you, but I want to send the bundle to someone I can "trust". We are speaking about a small fortune, so you - the US guys - should choose a "leader" and we will figure out the shipping together. For the guys in Europe I will send out the packages myself (naturally).
About the content of the packages:
As I already told you this is a 24 hours ration with two main meals and a couple of small things. I do not know why but only one of the main meals is listed on the outside. As "ReirerR" wrote in the previous post the mains are:
H/1: Beef shank stew
H/3: Cabbage casserole
H/4: Pickled Bean goose meat
H/6: Stellar stew
H/7: Turkey meat with creamed peas
These I do not have:
H/2: ???
H/5: Chicken breast with seasoned rice
I have exactly the same ones and you will get these too. The outer bag has a list about the other items too: main meals, pates, drink powders, matzah bread, dried fruits, dextrose, boiled candy, gum, sugar, salt, napkin, matches, Esbit like tablets, cooking stove.
That is it. No other details can be found on the outer bag. As far as I know the difference between the rations are only the main meals, the rest is the same, so do not expect to have a variety of condiments and snacks like in the US MREs. Some have instant soups and some have canned meat spreads or both in addition (not all the variants).
As said two main meals one comes in an MRE like pouch with a flameless heater, the other comes in a "foil can" like the German main meals and can be heated with the cooking stove and the Esbit like tablets.
The best before date in 08/2016 for all five rations I received, so I think the other rations will have the same BBD. Maybe some military deposit was cleared out, because all sources I found have these variants and these dates.
Did I miss something? Just shout, I should be more around here in the future.
