That is a really good find. Lots of rare stuff in pretty good shape.

Oh man! I knew I should have checked the site yesterday

Ration, Small Detachment 5 Persons! I've only ever seen that in the Operations Manuals. There are a few larger cans - old B Ration cans? I wish we could see what's under the Towels packet (interesting by itself - surgical?) or what's under the Menu No 2 label (again, interesting!). Someone struck gold there - I hope it was someone that hangs out here willing to share better pics when they get the items

Very interesting to see all that old stuff actually survive, someone must have had it stored in their emergency shelter.

On a side note, via Google, I just found a menu for the small detachment rations and they list under Supper, - Crackers With Army Spread. I don't think I want to know what Army Spread is though.....

"Army Spread" ?!?! That's just ration collection gold right there. Who knows what it is? I can't say I've ever seen that phrase written down before, will have to check some of the older Natick booklets.
