Civilian food from Canada for trade

I have several cases of Cadet Canada issued civilian repackaged MRE (legitimately obtained!) for trade. They're similar to US MRE (fewer calories, choices and flamables). I'm looking to swap for MRE equivalents from other countries (not US MRE since they're about the same to me). PM what you have and what you want. I can ship individual or cases. Note these are not IMPs. I can get a few of those, but not many.













ETA: No price is given as I am only interested in trading. Two for one seems reasonable to me since my shipping costs would also be double. If I'm out to lunch on that, I guess I'll just eat them.

No interest? How about a two for one swap? I've got so many (and no one to feed but myself), I'll send you two sealed meals for one from your country. Probably not two cases though, the shipping cost would be excessive.

Just a few tips -

1. You didn't list a price and we're all wary of folks coming on here to sell their stuff for far too much thinking we'll jump on it. People on this forum are generally looking for a good deal (ie. much better than the best deal available on eBay at the moment)

2. These are US Menu C civilian rations repackaged by a Canadian company. They're NOT the same thing as US Military MREs (there are fewer calories per meal, missing components and usually fewer choices for sides/desserts) so claiming they are is a bit annoying to folks that know the difference.

3. You didn't list the production dates, where they came from or how they've been stored - people will be more interested in 2012 issue items stored in a cool place than they would be in unknown age items stored god only knows where.

4. You don't list your location - if you're in Canada it makes it much more expensive and potentially risky to deal with you in the US.

5. Foreign members generally don't trade for civilian MREs - plus most foreign rats are worth considerably more than even genuine US Military MREs

I don't have a price as I'm not interested in selling. I'd just put them on Ebay if I only wanted money.

I wasn't aware of the differences between these and US MRE, thank you for that clarification.

Production dates are variable, depending when an offer is made. I've got a somewhat steady supply of these. Storage is as per proper requirements.

If no one is interested in a two for one trade, I suppose Ebay is the only option remaining. I'll use those proceeds to buy from overseas. Thanks again for the guidance.

I stand to be corrected, but by "production dates", people want to know when the rations in question were produced, not how quickly you can send them.

Understood. What I mean is that if person X says today " I want some", the production date on what I have now will be different from if person Y were to ask for some in 4 months from now. Those ones will be newer than the ones I have on hand right this moment.

However, it is all moot as my goods are not of interest so I'm going to eat them all (insert evil laughter here).
