New to your site, so Hello all,
I've got 30 unopened brown packet MREs. Some are the early dehydrated type and some are little bit later. My wife's uncle who was with the WARNG since the Vietnam era gave them to me, he had them stored in his basement in the house and the best I can figure were in this constant temperature since he brought them home. They were packed in an opened MRE case dated 4/82 with test date 4/84 though not certain which ones came out of the original case. Some are marked "Not for in flight/ preflight use". Best I can date some of the loose components are dated as early as 1981/82 like the potato patty in the light green wrapper made by Oregon freeze dried foods inc. Anyway, I don't collect these types of MREs, and not certain I'm brave enough to eat em either. As I collect US WWII field gear and such I'm looking to see what there worth to someone or maybe to trade for something WWII. I have listed on Ebay before, thought I would give this forum a chance at em before listing. If your interested drop me a note jbmarucha@yahoo.com. Listed below is what I have, Thank you.
