Shipping Canadian IMPs

Post by kman » Tue Mar 17, 2009 8:38 pm

Following along with the "Shipping MREs" thread, I wanted to chime in with my recent experience of receiving a case of IMPs from Canada.

I won an eBay auction for a case of 2006 Breakfast/Lunch IMPs from a seller in Quebec. They quoted me $45 for shipping which seemed about right based on what I've paid in the past. The seller shipped the package via UPS and I received notification emails when it was shipped, when the "Clearance Agency" got it, and then when it was delivered. The package shipped on March 4th and the was delivered to my house on March 10 - so only 6 days in transit!

Check out the pictures below. It looks like US Customs decided to take a look at the contents:

Sure enough, when I opened up the case, it looks like they opened up one of the IMPs to inspect the contents. Nothing appear to be missing from the IMP bag. Maybe the foil lining of the bags made them wonder what was inside.

Kman, For future reference you were over charged for shipping. I could ship to you for around $20.00 anywhere in the USA. Just an FYI. However if you have any neat rations you want to trade let me know!!

Cheers,
