Hi all, I'm a new member and I have some general questions.
Getting rations in Canada is a real pain in the rear, but I can get access to IMP. They are very expensive compared to getting MRE in the USA though. In general, if you guys trade full unopened meals between countries, do you usually trade 1 for 1 or do you work something else out?
Are there many people here who are interested in trading for IMP? If so, what kinds of meals are people interested in? Are there any that are far more popular than others? I am interested in trying full unopened rations from around the world. I will be interested in trading in pairs mostly, as they will be for my nephew and I.
Do people usually mark the package as "gift" under $60. Since they are trades, gift seems rather accurate and if it is only 2-3 meals then it would definitely be under $60. I would rather not have to pay any stinking taxes, so I am thinking trades would be best.
I am also actually interested in getting some FRH and maybe some accessory packs or loose items. If you have some that you want to sell or give away if I pay postage, please respond to this thread, or PM me. I would prefer to deal with people who have had positive feedback, and I am willing to pay via paypal or mail a money order. If you have positive feedback you can wait till you receive my payment if you want, as I am the new guy.

Re: Canadian member general Buy/Trade questions
I'd go for the gift option, not too sure on UK customs laws let alone Canadian. I think it should be fine.
Come to a deal that both parties are happy on. I've only delt with a few members on here (all in the EU), i'd gladly do it again. Theres a feedback section in the sales area so you can see who was happy with thier trades.
I'd love to trade for an IMP but the price of postage for a Brit 24 hour pack to Canada from the UK just isn't worth it it would be about 10 times as much as the UK ration cost me. (Average about £6)
Gaz

WaldorfTM,
Hello and welcome to our little forum here. I live in Western Washington state so I'm fairly close to you. I do like IMP's from your country and there are a few here on the forum that do enjoy them.
We do feel your pain on getting good MRE's and the crap we all have to go through in getting them to each other. Sometimes it's worth, it sometimes not especially for those folks across the pond in the EU.
If you want to trade just PM a certain forum member on what you want and then come to some agreement on trading. Usually one to one is fine or more, say like a bulk order, or some with a few extras thrown in. As long as you trust the other person and have a reliable payment service everything should be okay. Garron mentioned a feedback column here for everyone to post their experiences, it's in the buy-sell-trade portion on the main index.
As for different rations, well....everybody has their favorite. It's hard to say which ones are good. IMP's are very good to eat especially some of the newr menus. Hope that helps.
