Update: I just heard from The Epicenter again. They have a discount code for us that will take 5% off all products:

I've set up a special 5% discount code for your forum members which should help offset some shipping costs. It applies to all items on the MRE page (not just entrees / sides). The extra discount expires on 03/15/08.

When the items are added to the shopping cart, the page will ask if you have a promo code. Enter 843251.

I wish I could order loads of these, not gonna happen though cos of the shipping. I did however look at their site, and I noticed hash browns with bacon. Is this their own invention, or is it a regular MRE side now, and if so, is it tasty? Along with the cheese omlette they listed (which I also haven't seen/tried before) it would make a good breakfast, which the MRE menu list has been missing.

The Hash Browns w/Bacon are an official MRE item - it was added to the official MRE menus in 2005:

Yeah, w/ shipping their prices are so-so, but their selection is excellent. I just wish I had waited to order my 12 pack of chilimac from them instead.. I wish it had been clearer on whatever site I ordered it from that it was 2005 packed.. stupid me for not asking, stupid them for not posting it. Or smart them, but I won't go back there now because of that, oh well. The epicenter is great, I'm not talking about them.

The hashbrowns with bacon are great, especially with a little garlic and or hot sauce on them.I still cant aquire a taste for the omelet though, even with adding pork sausage and hot sauce, but hey to each his own.Bon apetit.
