"Instant" messaging?

Is there any way you could set up an Instant Messaging system for logged on members here? This would really be handy if I wanted to "talk" to another member while he or she is onsite.

That's not such a bad idea, C-rats! I'll see what I can find in the form of a phpBB plugin.
