I just put up the main Italian Combat Rations (Razione Viveri Speciale da Combattimento) page. The Italian rations section, however, isn't complete. I still have about 6 pages of reviews that need to go up. This main page is done so I wanted to get it out there. The extra review pages should be up if not today, then in the next day or two:

Very cool.

For the shot, "3 cl" would be 3 centiliters I assume, with 3 cl = 30 ml = 1 fluid ounce. Or, about as much alcohol as a beer. Anyone else think it's odd that it's in the breakfast portion of the menu?

nice pictures and nice site, thanks for sharing Lt turtle!
Are you planning to make an English version? I can read and write English a little bit but my Japanese is very... virtual

RoastBeastFan, my only question is "why don't they put a bottle in every day ration?" There was a brandy bottle in every French ration 20 years ago, and YES, we used to drink it in the breakfast coffee 8)

Yes. 3cl = 30 ml. (metric system)

I guess the Italiens use it as a "medicin" to cure their hang over from last night. 8)

In history, they are more famos for their food/drinks than beeing great worriers. :D Isn“t it?

Lt turtle,

I just sent you an email but let me also say publicly that I apologize for using your pictures without letting you know. I *thought* I had asked and received permission, but now that I go through my old emails and PMs, I see that I confused your site with another one that I had emailed. Sorry about that.

When I find pictures on other sites, I try to give credit in the credit line at the bottom of the webpage. I also try to rename the picture files with the name of the person or site where I found them. For example, a couple of pictures on the Italian rations page start with housil- or jubifahrer- because those are pictures housil and jubifahrer posted here. If you could let me know which pictures on the page were from you, I would be happy to rename them and give you proper credit.

The last we heard from you about your site, your website provider had taken it down but you posted your pictures for us all to see on your MSN account. It's good to read now that it's back up.
