Calling all vintage ration/food collectors...

Post by kman » Wed Oct 02, 2019 6:22 pm

A TV production company has reached out to me to help them find vintage ration/food collectors. They're putting together a television show/series that focuses on old (vintage!) rations and foods. If you're a collector and would like to help them out, here's the information about how to contact them:

Nice try, USDA, not today.
All the best, Gents.

It's not the USDA...really. Besides...they're not asking for FOREIGN ration collectors.

I don't know if you're just joking or are serious...but come on guys, I'm not going to sell you out.

This is cool, thanks for passing it on! I sent them some photos of my late war K ration. I'm sure it's not much compared to what other collectors have to offer, but it's a start!

They just want pics?? Internet is already loaded, if that's all they want.

I’m not sure exactly what they want but I’m pretty sure it’s not just pics. They might be looking for rations to open/display/eat on the show and/or they might be looking for the collector themselves to be on the show. Shoot them an email and find out!

I was contacted by these guys a few weeks ago! From what I could tell, it was an antiques roadshow kind of thing, going across america, eating and opening vintage food. THey said that they would talk about what the food was, where it was made, etc. Sound like a pretty interesting idea!
On an impossible mission to get every ration ever :D

Looking for Vintage, rare and just plain strange items
