All (?) their tunnels (called "Reduit") are closed or converted into civilian usage.

very very interesting...

In the twelve discarded ammunition bunkers, it is warm and damp - ideal for the fungi. The shiitake feel comfortable in cleats: 23 to 24 tons of shiitake reaping the Company "Gotthard mushrooms" per year.

That Japanese "historian" said that beer was provided to German soldiers in their rations. Anyone have any validation of that claim?

"We" never had any beer in our rations. Nowadays soldiers in e.g. AFG get two cans a day at the mess hall after (!) duty.
