See what I got from best-of-all-Mrs. Housil
a tank driver lesson
That´s really me:
(2nd hatch is instructor, cupola is Mrs. Housil) driving a 13t 300HP BMP-1 APC tank
Me and instructor after I got my "license"
She also really enjoyed it

I got it to my 40th birthday from Mrs Housil, but I know she paid €160 (~$240) for 1 hour.Treesuit wrote:Housil,
Oh yes indeed! Looks like both of you got a kick out of it, how much did that run you; cost wise?

The BMP is about the most claustrophobia-inducing vehicle I've ever seen, worse than the M-113 ambulance track that I drove in my first national guard unit (which I did not think was possible). I recall helping to save the crew of a dis-abled Iraqi BMP-1 during desert storm and although they were badly injured, I'm not sure to this day if they were happier to see us or happier to be getting the heck out of that rolling widow-maker! Tall soldiers must find it especially difficult.

I think the BMP1 has fuel tanks IN THE REAR DOORS
