How MRE porkchops are made

Ok.. kind off..
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

Do not take an chihuahua!

Spastic little things are agressive in 50% of the cases, and always shake like they have parkinson disease..

(And do you see yourself walking a squirrel sized dog through your neighborhood?)

Get a piglet !

yep, you're right and the good point with the pig: if it grows both agressive and FAT...

You have races that stop at around 35kg.. the size of a normal dog ( just a bit fatter) and they don't grow up to be agressive;

pigs are véry intelligent.. you can learn them alot more then dogs..

(But.. I'm happy with our dog  )

But seriously.. chihuahuas.. those things aren't dogs..
Go to or invite someone with a chihuahua.. they are shaking all the time.. very nervous.. and they have the tick to bite when they are scared.. (lots of things are scary when you are squirrelsized)

Some people I know have chihuahuas.. 5 of them already bit a kid (from 11 chihuahuas)
How you raise it is an factor ofcourse, you'll probably do a better job then 16-20 year old girls and 50+ women with a midlife crisis.. but it are just natural born nervous dogs..

I'd rather get my self a bit bigger dog.. (in price it doesn't really matter.. small dogs need canned dogfood in small portions (hygienic.. instead of taking big cans.. and larger dogs eat dry dogfood; much cheaper.. for the price per portion is about the same.. vet costs are a high etc)

If your looking for a cute dog.. just because it's cute.. you'd better think of an maltezer or an shii-tzu..
Shii tzu have the same problems as the chihuahua.. except for the shaking.. and they don't have it that bad with nervousness.. quite dominant males though.. a bitch is better then.

The maltezer are nice doggies..

But I'll stick with airedales.. it's our 3rd now
(old photo)

They wreck everything, doesn't listen (unless you have food.. ), wreck some more, dig out your garden, slobbers water and comes to say hello with her wet beard, wrecks more.. digs more, and tends to wreck things (or did I tell that already?)

But.. 100% soulmate

well, I see what you mean about shaking all the time, my grandmother had two miniature Pinschers
After that she changed fo a shii-tzu and that bloody animal used to bit every person or animal that approached him including a huge rottweiller (5 ou 6 stitches for the shii-tzu, lucky enough: he was still alive!), then he bit my 8 year son (I wanted to throw the dog through the window - 8 story buiding) , the neighbors' kid (the grandmother had to pay for the medical care to avoid lawsuits...) and the then grandmother herself (2 stitches on her lip - she wanted to kiss her "little treasure" on his nose and he didn't wan't  ). At last she gave that pest to another neighbor instead of sending it to the dog pound.
Nice present!

My boy calls the Chihuahuas "RD's" for Ridiculous Dogs (in English so my wife doesn't understand!)

Shii tzus tend to be very dominant, especially the males.. but the females are "controllable"
Small dogs are simply very easily intimidated, and they try to counter it with agression, to scare the "opponent" away.. and showing that they aren't prey..

Maltezers are probably the best option.. dog races all have their own "specifications".. my dog is an Airedale Terriër and is known for it's stubberness.. and intelligence (though she never uses that part of her brain)..

Chihuahuas are simple bred as accesoiries for rich women..

As small dogs, that chihuahua, pinscher, yorkshireterrier are risky.. (though if you raise them the right way everything will be just fine.. for 99% ofcourse, like with everything else)

foxterriers and jack russels are also very dominant most of the time..

Best choices are dogs like the shii tzu (though a bit risky) the maltezer etc.. and if your thinking a tiny bit bigger, you can get the miniature version of my dog (airedale terrier..) that's the welsh terrier.. Those are really great, caring dogs.. very intelligent for a "small" dog.. they are jack russel sized, but not so fat.. quite slim..

I'm not telling you what to buy, but just keep it in mind  I do a lot with dogs, and learned quite a lot from them..
If your not planning to have pups, you could sterrilize the dog.. it makes it less agressive.. but it might make it lazy.. and they tend to get fat (lack of hormones..)

And one other thing.. sounds stupid..

But it's really annoying when there is a mini-dog around the house.. You always have the scary feeling that your going to step on it. (had one for 2 weeks to baby sit it) and they tend to walk between your feet.. like they're suicidal or something.

yes, I've seen a pinscher being killed by a jogger as it was running beteween the guy's legs like a crazy football (- soccer-!) dribbler.

I don't know the Airedale Terriers well but I trust you. Almost all the Jack Russels I've seen were vicious : they feign to sleep then jump at you ankles and bit them or they look at you just like they'd ask " please, make a fuss of me" an then they bit your hand. Honestly, I don't really like Jack Russels :|

A good mongrel is perfect, the only thing is to be sure that it would not grow from a Chihuahua size to a Saint Bernard once it's adult!

I might be a bit pre judged.. but consider a welsh terrier

They are quite small, are a bit hardheaded, but very intelligent, cuddly and are very caring.. they tend to be very nice with other people and dogs, especially with small childeren aswell..

Ofcourse it depends on how they are raised aswell, but those are great dogs.

And about jack russells, I hate them aswell.. I only know one nice jack russell..

I don't really know where your from.. britain or bretagne.. but as you said your wife doesn't speak english, I recon your from france :?: there are lots of people from france with welsh terriers at our club days (they are just airedale terrier mini-me thingies)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_Terrier (don't mind the picture at the right.. that's the ugliest welsh i've ever seen)
Here is some more info.. they are hardheaded.. but good learners..
(So you can learn them all sorts of things, but they refuse to do it.... unless you have treats for the dog)
