I was watching this video on food in the old DDR - specifically the 'Doctor Sausage'.
The guy part way through, when talking about Bologni, Morta Della, and the early sausage the Roman Legionairies ate (which he called an early MRE), uttered the words - "Don't Tell Steve". That's GOTTA be our Steve thought I.
If nothing else, very informative about sausage in the old Germanies.
(Some have a phobia about German sausage I hear - they Fear the Wurst - sorry - 'Dad Joke').
