WW2 CMP Trucks (Canadian Military Pattern).

Post by OzBloke » Thu Jun 06, 2019 12:06 am

The US had the 'duece and a half' trucks, usually Studebakers I think.
CMPs were designed and built in Canada starting pre WW2 (1936) at the instigation of the Brits, and used by all Commonwealth forces.
There were various models.
After the war they formed (in Oz at least) the basis of the medium truck fleet, as there were so many surplus.
They also formed the backbone of the bushfire brigade tanker fleet right up to the 1980s.

Couple of these for sale near me. I'm tempted, but they're rough as heck.

Still would be cool.
All the best, Gents.

- I'm also making videos mainly for my own enjoyment, but hey, maybe you might want to check them out: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4-9gp ... C1dSyPX0w/
