Our neighborcountry Netherland celebrates at April 30th the "Queensday".
Today an horrible incident occured.
A guy attacked the Queen and her Family with his car, trying to crash into the Queens bus on porpuse. He drove thrue the celebrating audience, killing at least 5, injured another 12 before he chrashed against a statue and got trapped in his car.

Shame really he got the easy way out. Wonder what the punishment for treason is in thr Netherlands... if its like the UK then death is a possability (It hasnt been used in a very long time... over 100 years)

My geez this is terrible news! But it's a good thing the Dutch Queen wasn't hurt. Whatever came in that man's mind to do such a thing?

He lost his job (security), and therefore his wife, kids and most of his friends.
The news here told that he did it to make his point, to prove "people needed him"
He didn't come anything near the queen (about 50m) but he drove through the people there, with 70 to 90 KM/H
There were people lying around with open fractures, strange formed bodies, etc.. and they all showed it on live TV
Now, for the first time in Dutch history.. a complete mass off public SUES the insurance company from the guy, because he traumatized him. Even people that were watching TV (!!!) or "heard the crash and later heard what happened, and couldn't sleep ever since"
First they thought of a terrorist attack, then they didn't find a bomb, so they thought it was an major accident by someone with a stroke..
But, later a female police officer told the news that Karsten Tates (the one who did it) told here when he was "dying" in his car, that he wanted to hit the queen. (btw it was not only the queen, it was the complete monarchie! almost all members were in that bus.. and our minister president etc, all the "big guys")
