Eh.. Nope.
I don't think they will take the old ammo home (it's cheaper to leave it there then to take it back home.. and the iraqi army needs it now)
Same goes with the MREs, except for the fact that they won't be eaten by iraqis (not halal)

Newly produced stuff will be rerouted to afghanistan, because they increased the troop count there..

So.. I don't expect a change untill they leave Afghanistan.
(I hope it will be a sudden withdraw off forces.. so that they have LOADS of surplus 7.62x51.. but that's just me)

The Iraqi troops are using AK's, 7.62x39...
The ammo makers here have been unable to keep up with the demand for 5.56 (.223) until now, so I would expect lots of 5.56 on the market fairly soon...
My Mini-14 is hungry! :D
7.62x51 (.308), I'd love to see that cheap again, I only have a couple thousand left, '70's vintage...My M1A likes it!
I have a crate (1260 rounds) of 7.62x39, and nothing to shoot it in, I'm looking now for a 'Plinker'...SKS, or something.
MRE's? The same thing, massive contracts and only so much storage room... I'd expect some of the older ones to filter into the market...
Afganistan? Not that many troops when compared to troop levels in Iraq, not too long ago.
We'll see.
