2015 US MRE Rib Shaped BBQ Pork Patty MRE Ration Review Menu 16

A delicious and varied menu that has unfortunately been discontinued in 2017. It enjoyed a 14 year service within the MRE menu line up. Would recommend anyone to try this menu! However... I did miss that coffee!
The ranger bar was way different than imagined, thought it was going to be a chewy moist thing and it turned int a gritty, dry and crumbly thing. Good flavor of banana nut bread though!
The Wheat Snack Bread was different tasting.... reminded me of an artificial doughy italian bread stick without the italian herbs. Turning it into a PBJ is definitely the way to go.
The Raspberry drink powder was excellent at about 8 ounces could be stretched to 12 or so but I think at 20oz would be seriously weak.
The BBQ sauce was seriously disappointing itself that it was almost like ketchup bbq sauce, not a rich and flavorful like you'd normally expect (i'm from the USA midwest so I eat bbq sauce fairly regularly).
The main had a flavorful however artificial consistency and flavor. Very processed. A little ho-hum on visual look but the taste was pleasant and I like the contrast to the cheesy, slightly spiciness of the sante fe style rice and beans.
The sante fe style beans was awesome! Chunks of peppers and vegetables. Cumin and Cayenne! I really liked it!
The chocolate drink powder was excellent hot and rich hot chocolate. Sort of like a hot Ensure. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be on the look out for this menu again someday.
