Just did my first MRE review.

Sorry... no pictures. Will try and remember next time. Using a new video editor and it gave me some problems, so editing isn't perfect. Also need a camera arm. Just wanted to get the first one done so I could see what I need to work on!

Many more to come! :)

Good job.
I only ever had corn bread once and it was in my first MRE so I didn't realize how good it was and now I miss it...
I'm aware you said you had problems with the editing, but I'd definitely cut the parts where you move the camera and when you walk away to get something.
I'm very "aggressive" in my editing and consider "dead time" that is more than 1 second to be a waste of space/time, but I realize I can go a bit overboard with my method (and it requires editing time .. it takes super long time and is tedious).
So I'm not saying you should do that, but at least cut out parts that don't contribute to the review. Other than that I don't really have much to say :)

Thanks for the advice! I have edited around 300 other videos for my other YouTube channel. I always used Windows Movie Maker. I know it is a simple program but I was very familiar with it. My new laptop does not have it and my old laptop is dead. So... I found out that Windows 10 does not include it (or anything to edit with).

I downloaded HitFilms 4 editing software but there seems to be a problem with it. I think I need to uninstall it and try again. The video timeline player kept locking up and going into super slow motion. After a while I got frustrated. So in the end the editing was pretty bad... I cut out bits not intended and missed bits that should have been cut. You are very correct in your assessment.

I am just doing this for fun, but in the future I will do a better job with the editing. I have been delaying my first video for a while... oh, I need a tray... oh, I need a new HD camera... oh, I need a better spot to shoot... really I wanted to get the first one done, so I can see the weak areas and improve them. Now I can begin to make improvements!

My old video cam was HDD, no HD, and Windows 10 did not support it. The new HD cam was only $100 and uses memory card. I am happy with the video quality. Maybe need a bit more light.

I appreciate any comments or criticism regarding the videos. In the past I have only made motorcycle videos, often with a GoPro chest mount, and also this new editing tool takes time to learn. So there will be improvements for sure with the MRE reviews. I have enjoyed the other people's reviews very much and thought it would be nice if someone enjoys mine someday. :)

I thought the cornbread was excellent especially being 5 years old. It tasted very fresh and very normal. I did finish the whole ration, but over 2 days. ~1200 calories is too much for my daily lunch!
