Wow, what a classic! Really takes me back to the 80s. If it weren't for the white MCW packaging it would be just like the prize I always hoped to pull of the old brown-baggers. And how cool that it was good too? Interesting that they were still found in MCWs until at least 2005. When did they phase them out of MREs?

Yo G! They still have those bad boys! I just got one out of a 2012 LRP Chicken & Rice. I am actually getting some 2014 DoP MCW's in the mail and I would bet $$$ that the Chicken & Rice menu has one. When I get it, I will put it in the pile of stuff I am getting ready to send ya.


As for NNF's video - I can't watch it right now because if I do, it will make me eat one of my reserve Oatmeal Cookie, Chocolate Covereds and trust me, I had 28 of them in January... now I am down to 4!


Oh! And they were phased out of regular MRE's in like 03'? I gotta check and confirm that..!

Welp - I was a year off... 2003 it was in menu 21 Turkey Tetrazinni - and in 2004 it was phased out of regular MRE's.. big mistake if you ask me!

I agree these and the nut cakes were the BEST "military" dessert ever included IMO in MRE's.
