Anyone ever get their hands on one of these humanitarian MREs??? I thought these only went overseas to help refugees or displaced civilians. I'm wondering how these clowns in the you-tube videos got their hands on 'em.

Certainly, in a few months just ask any Haitian taxi driver and he'll be able to get a few of those for you

i just read yesterday in a link here on the site which links to the DOD:

SOPAKO for example produces this year 750 000 cases of MRE and 250 000 cases of HDR.
so it should no wonder they are showing up that often.
i also thought they are very rare. but if you search google for HDR pics you will nearly fins as much as MRE. mostly in AFG and IRAK.

i also found some pics how the yellow HDR are stored. in big catrons.not only the small mre-sized ones.

but i only have 2 yellow HDR in my collecton which i swaped with HGButtenTee 6 month ago her in the forum. now i am hearing they are much more rare than the other hdr i am really afraid to open one... should i? :|

I'd hang on to the yellow HDRs...from what I hear they're pretty rare. I heard that they stopped handing them out in the Middle East since unexploded cluster bomblettes were also yellow in color...thinking that the civis would mistake them for the yellow HDRs. The contents are pretty interesting though...2 veg entrees, 2 crackers, 2 spreads, and other snacks/desserts.
