The Epicenter's YouTube Review of Mountain House Lasagna

Post by kman » Mon Nov 09, 2009 2:23 pm

Bryan from The Epicenter just posted a video review of a can of Mountain House Lasagna. It's a pretty good review - he has all his staff try it out so you get to see everyone:

Thanks for posting that kman. Nice to see the faces that give MRE Omelette a "to die for rating" (more like "to die from")

I was at Walmart a few weeks ago and picked up a few MH 20 oz. pouches to try. The Lasagne is actually pretty good. Lousy thing tho, is when you stir it all the cheese sticks to the spoon.

Seeing this Mountain House review really makes me pine away for the "good ol' days" when they would have Group Buys on the Mountain House products for really crazy prices.

Might be worth seeing if they want to try it. At least for now, the free shipping is pretty fair.

Thankyou for that link to European Freeze Dry. Was just about to ask if there is anywhere here that sells that sort of thing, as they would seem to be just the thing to have set aside just in case. 25-30 years shelf life beats trying to stock and rotate regular foodstuffs. I guess it is no more pricey than most civvie ratpacks when you consider you get 10 portions out of that. Perhaps I will get a few cans in case of floods or zombie invasion!

IIRC, they sell a 'Months supply', all in one box. I have one somewhere in the garage, good for 30 years +
Assortment of breakfast, lunch and dinner, all in big #10 cans...
Mind you, they probably taste as bad now as they will in 30 yrs, but comforting to have :D
I also have a big can of 'Pilot biscuits', (Hardtack) to use as filler... 8)
I can assure you they will be the last items eaten!!!
