If its what I'm thinking it is, we had somthing similar with school, though there were never rations, it was similar to team building for buisnesses, an army assault corse, jumping into deep freezing water then swiming, rope bridges, high walls, monkey bars, the standard army type all under the supervision of soldiers who encouraged you pretty strongly
Also we had a career day in school in which people from the world of work would come in and talk about thier jobs, Our class had the army 3 years running, I get the feeling they were trying to tell me somthing Our last one they brought along a helmet, webbing, body armour for you to try on.
