Post by jfko6 » Sun Sep 07, 2008 1:14 pm

Package on providing aid when fighting closes the food markets. Civil affairs soldiers bring boxes of food, unload truck and set up a distribution point. Many residents, young and old, receive the food. A Meal-Ready-to-Eat (MRE) that is acceptable for the culture is opened by reporter and explained. Toys and school supplies also handed out. Soundbites from Major Joel Hagy, Team Leader; and Sergeant First Class Felipe Azua, Team Sergeant. Produced by Sergeant Elise Al-Sharif, 122nd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment.

Lighter box

Post by jfko6 » Sun Sep 07, 2008 2:16 pm

Notice this box of food is lighter in weight as the lady in the black dress was able to carry the box with one arm.

Those were the old yellow HDr's. The new ones are salmon color. They use them since 2005. In Katrina they used these alot. I have some of them. They are bland but edible.

I would like to get me some of the yellow ones.... :D

Peace!

The women do most of the work over there, you probably wouldn't want to arm wrestle her...
And I find myself agreeing with bypah, the HDR I had was very bland, with odd spices in it, but It was VERY filling, which is the point of them I guess.
